About Us

Interfaith Hospitality Network of Somerset County NJInterfaith Hospitality Network of Somerset County (IHN-SC) is a private non-profit agency serving homeless families with children through a continuum of care approach to services. Incorporated in 1992, the agency had its roots as an Emergency Shelter with a commitment to provide a permanent solution to homelessness.

In reaction to the serious shortage of affordable housing, and high rates of relapse into homelessness, IHN-SC has expanded program services to include a transitional housing facility, a transitional support program for families once they attain permanent housing and 2 units with project-based rental assistance in our permanent supported housing program. We now work with homeless families from the crisis of living in cars or “couch to couch” to attaining permanent housing with continuing case management and support to prevent relapse into homelessness.
